Welcome to the Troop 56 website!

Our troop began in 1920, originally sponsored by the Maidley M.E. Church in Wilmington, DE. We have been charted at First Presbyterian Church in Newark since 1944. Court of Honor

Our end of the year court of honor is going to be held Wednesday the 14th in memorial hall. It starts at 7:00pm and lasts until 8:30pm.

May Campout 5/19/17

There will be a campout, May nineteenth this weekend. At 6pm meet in the church parking lot and we will arrive at 7pm at camp Granogue Estate.

Memorial Day Parade

The Newark Memorial Day Parade is Sunday, May 21 from 1-3. Troop 56 has been specially selected to do the Pledge of Allegiance during the opening ceremony on the green, please be in your class A Uniform and ready be on the green at 12:45 for the ceremony.

We will be holding a troop meeting in preparation for Friday's campout on Wednesday from 7:00 to 8:30pm at the church.

Wilderness Survival Campout 4/21/17

We will be hosting a wilderness survival camp out April 21st to the 23rd at Camp Rodney. We will be meeting at the church beforehand at around 6pm. Bring all supplies that would be used at a normal camp out.
